“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” – Margaret Fuller.

Born in the beautiful isle of Trinidad and Tobago, my love for beautiful words began as a child with an ongoing love affair with books. I would read absolutely anything I could get my hands on; from the Bible to any book written by Enid Blyton to news articles I didn’t quite understand. This ongoing relationship has helped guide me onto a path where I would be able to one day have an effect on people through beautifully written pieces.

Throughout my life I’ve maintained this love affair by acquainting myself with the library and local book stores, in hopes that I would one day be as influential as those before me. During my high school career I enrolled in as many creative writing classes as I could and eventually joined my school newspaper. When it was time to graduate, I knew there would only be one post-secondary program that could feed my desire to become a professional writer: Journalism.

I enrolled in Centennial College’s journalism program and became well-versed in the art of writing for both print and online, news and magazines. I even had the opportunity to dabble in radio and TV news. However, as a recent graduate, what continues to inspire me is the opportunity to have a voice through my words.

No matter the venture, I approach it with a high level of passion, dedication and professionalism. My greatest passion is the art of communication, and for that reason, I’ve chosen to pursue a career in Journalism. Through my work with the Toronto Observer, Venus Today Magazine and my blog, I’ve gained invaluable knowledge that allows me to write effectively for any media.

I hope you find as much pleasure in reading my work as I did in creating them.
